I always take the 🦴 bones out of mine too 😂 but I don't use corn meal 😔 or eggs, but I do use flour, mustard, chopped up onion 🧅's chopped up green bell peppers 🌶️🌶️ not 🚭 the chili 🌶️😞 '' yes bell pepper 🫑 yes'😂❤ add water 💦 and mix with salt and black pepper,.
You get your skillet with hot oil on. top of the stove and make little scoops into the hot oil 🪔 and make your patties 😉

Love salmon patties!!! I too pick out the bones and the skin with it. Never thought of using cornmeal, I just crush crackers. Like to use Ritz or similar for the best flavor. I also add some parsley flakes for a bit of color. This was the last meal I fixed for my Mom when she was near death. We had them for supper, but in the morning in her confusion she asked me if I was going to fix patties for her. I sure did, and it was her last meal. And her last request from me. I still make them often. Love the left overs too, easy to heat and have with eggs for breakfast. I know now what is on my menu for today!

In Maryland we always add Old Bay to really season and Italian bread crumbs instead of corn meal!
